Why Everyone Should Aquire an MBA
Every successful person has one. They all swear by it. It leads to clarity and understanding. It’s been around for so long, so why don’t many people have one? What’s stopping them?
The truth is people are lazy, they don’t want to put in the time and effort to get their own MBA.
But it’s a brilliant strategy.
When you get an MBA, you know who to go to, who to seek for guidance, who’s work to study for understanding. We’re funny as humans, it’s really hard to take advice for ourselves, but it’s very easy for us to give advice to other people.
And so an MBA helps us to zoom out and look at the bigger picture of the situation. And actually helps us with how we want to respond to the situation.
And the best part of an MBA is that it’s free, it only costs you time to create. No I’m not talking about a Masters of Business Administration.
A Mental Board of Advisors can be the guidance you’re missing from your life. Pick a handful of people who are living or dead whose philosophy, work or way of living really speaks to you and you have them as your Mental Board of Advisors.
When you first go about selecting your MBA, let’s say 4-5 people you really look up to. That doesn’t mean it’s the end. There is no limit to how many board members you can have at your table. There are no rules after all. You create and break them.
Of course, you don’t want too many or too few people at your table. It’ll get crowded. But once you start acquiring a fair few names you can start sub-category Mental Boards. It’s up to you after all.
You can have a Mental Board for:
Physical Health
Mental Health
Nutrition
Relationships
Business
Finance
You get my point. You can have multiple MBAs. Instead of just having one giant table. Have smaller multiple tables, and you can move around to each one as you need to depending on the situation. You are the CEO of your mind after all. It’s your ship, you are the captain.
You must do what is right for you.
I haven’t organised my MBA yet but I will be doing that soon, (public accountability always works).
Build your MBA, look into your heart and soul. You know who you look up to.
Until next time,
Brody
